This symbol of modern architecture in Prague was initially received with mixed feelings, but soon became a popular tourist attraction and has received a number of prestigious awards.

Dancing House was built in 1992–1996 along Prague’s Rašínovo waterfront. Its author, Czech architect of Croatian descent, V. Milunić, invited renowned Canadian-American designer Frank O. Gehry to work on it. Today this building inspired by the dancing couple of Ginger & Fred is considered the best-known example of modern Czech architecture after 1989.
